Set of 3 Serigraphs by Max Bill. Bill is widely considered the single most decisive influence on European graphic design, beginning in the 1950s with his theoretical writing and progressive work. As an artist, he sought to create forms which visually represent the New Physics of the 20th century, to create forms that could be understood by the senses as "concrete art".He has had retrospectives at The Albright-Knox Museum, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art,in 1974, and The Guggenheim Museum in 1988. He has received numerous worldwide awards and critical acclaim.Bill is credited with having been "the spark that lighted the fuse of Brazils artistic revolution", and the countrys "movement toward concrete art" with his retrospective at the Sao Paolo Museum of Modern Art.
