A Fine Zebrawood, Laquer, Glass & Bronze Sideboard/Credenza, Osvaldo Borsani

This extraordinary sideboard with zebrawood top and sides, black lacquer front and interior, and incredible glass and bronze base was created by Osvaldo Borsani in the 1930s. The cabinet upper structure was documented in the book ART DECO IN ITALIA, Silvana Editoriale, color photo, page 119, photo 18, however Borsani created different bases for each of his commissions on this cabinet as it was early in his career and he was designing for specific clients and residences. This extraordinary base was created for a noble Corsican family.
